4th Annual Fraud Conference 2022

Corruption and fraud risks are among the leading causes of stakeholder value loss in Uganda. The best strategy to manage these risks is increased awareness and training of stakeholders.

As a key player in promoting good governance and risk management in Uganda, this is to request for partnership in the 4^th Annual Fraud Conference due on 20^th to 21^st October 2022 at Imperial Royale Hotel, Kampala. The Covid 19 pandemic has had an impact on occupational fraud cases, giving employees new opportunities to commit fraud, noting “With remote working and organizations implementing major changes in processes, the pandemic created more potential opportunities for fraud, reporting half of the fraud cases in the study in most organizations,” ACFE Report to the Nation’s 2022. The report also noted that 42% of frauds were detected by tip-offs, with more than half of all tip-offs coming from employees. This means that implementing anti-fraud programs with an emphasis on fraud awareness benefits organizations in fighting fraud.

To this end, the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, Uganda Chapter invites you to partner as an event sponsor and participant in the upcoming 2-day non-residential hybrid anti-fraud conference due on 20^th – 21^st October 2022.
