Who we are

Association of Certified Fraud Examiners

The Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE) is an international, professional organization dedicated to fighting fraud and white-collar crime. With offices in North America, Europe and Japan and chapters around the globe – the Association is networked to respond to the needs of anti-fraud professionals everywhere. Our Members support our mission of reducing the incidence of fraud and white-collar crime through prevention and education.

The need to elevate the standard of fraud examination in Uganda, coupled with the desire for a professional body not limited to a single discipline such as accounting or law, led to the establishment of a local chapter. This chapter was founded with the mission of fostering a community where forensic examination practitioners across Uganda can collaborate and support one another. It brings together individuals from diverse industries and professional backgrounds, united by a common goal: the reduction of white-collar crime in Uganda.

The Uganda Chapter

While the local chapter is officially recognized by the international Association, it’s important to note that membership in the chapter is optional and separate from membership in the Association itself. To enhance service delivery and member engagement, we have established Interest Groups across various regions and provinces. These groups meet regularly to provide networking opportunities, share knowledge, and promote ongoing training within their respective areas.
